i was wrong

19:55 Jul 30 2008
Times Read: 706

i thought i would be bored and lonely this week with my kids being away at the beach, i was so wrong. i had a bunch of projects i had saved up to get done this week and of course i did them all on monday and left the rest of my week free.

yesterday i spent getting my hair done up all pretty and then went out to dinner and for drinks and today my baby brother and his wife came over for lunch and to go swimming.

I got to play with my new neice Izzy who is a chunky little thing that just smiles and laughs. Her big ( 2 year old sister Em ) just followed me around calling me Aunt Meg she finally can say it and was so proud of herself she couldn't stop saying my name.

it was a nice afternoon and a nice suprise but it does make me wonder who told them i was by myself and might need company all week.

Vacation

03:45 Jul 23 2008
Times Read: 724

You decide to go away and just before you leave you pack all your stuff up neatly and journey to your destination. To avoid wrinkles and the questions of those along for the vaca ride you UNPACK. You stay and just before you say goodbye you PACK everything back up again only to get home and UNPACK wash and fold and put it all away.

I thought vacation was supposed to be restfull?

I am still trying to play catch up from last week and feeling like ...... like i need another vacation.

I came home from the beach a day early only to realize the next morning as i woke up with a bad feeling that it was the 2 year anniversary of my accident. I made a cup of tea and made a note to myself to stay home lock the door and chalk it up as a day where i avoided cars and leaving the house. the phone rang seconds later and it was my mom letting me know that my stepfathers dad died. Tommorow is the viewing and as much as i hate and try my hardest to avoid the morbid traditions for my stepdad i will attend and keep my views to funeral traditions to myself.

Im my stepgrandpops honor i did make a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs and the cheesecake he always begged me to make for him when he came for dinner. I will miss him and i am glad to have had the opportunity to call him family.

I'm sorry for your loss honey. It's a very good thing of you to go out and attend and be there, even when you don't feel like you can.

For today, just stay in and try to relax.

*hugs*

Stupid people SUCK !

19:50 Jul 09 2008
Times Read: 782

There is nothing worse than the "not my kid " syndrome. I soo hate dealing with people that are afflicted with this denial of thier childrens behavior issues.

Here i am in my basement cleaning and painting doing some laundry when my 10 year old comes in the house crying some wacky lady down the street is yelling and cursing at him. So of course my temper flares as i get him and his friend to tell me what the hell happened and it started off with " Well JORDAN "

So lets give a little background info on Jordan, Jordan is a 6 year old menace who runs around the streets all day long with NO SUPERVISION whatsoever and likes to go in peoples backyards ( mine being one of them ) and pissing all over the walls or the fences or wherever he pleases. He is in the middle of the street constantly , a very busy street as far as traffic is concerned< and runs around tacking toys off other peoples property and taking them home with him forever. "I didn't steal it I borrowed itand didnt want to give it back"

So next thing i know i am walking dow the street to confront the parent who is already for a fight.

As soon as she sees me walking with my son her first words were "YOUR KID IS PICKING ON MY KID and he is only 6. My Jordan didn't do anything to him and he threatened my son " so i asked Erik if he did and he said yes i did i told him to leave me alone or i would throw the water balloon at him because he wouldn't let us playand wouldnt go away. meanwhile angelic Jordan is whipping someones car with a 2 foot stick.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?

This warranted her telling my son and his friend " you better leave my jordan alone you fuckin pieces of shit and if you ever threaten his life again i will beat you little fuckers up and down the street "

Needless to say I totally lost my temper. This happens ohh maybe once every couple of years, and i find myself in this womans face asking her " who the hell do you think you are talking to kids like that and dont give me that my son is innocent crap becuase he is damaging peoples property as we speak."

Ten minutes of me yelling at this psycho and she had nothing to say because i was right and she agreed to keep her precious monster away from my life threatening evil ballooon tosser.

half hour later i look out the window and there is Jordan in the middle of the street again with a stolen basketball playing on someone elses basketball net.

I am soo glad i am going away for a week in a few days

HAHA i do need to pack up Jordan and his mom and ship them to Willy Wonka.

about the playstation well it was old and not really worth much but they left a brand new wii sitting right next to it. We went to Gamestop to see if anyone had traded a ps2 in and the man said yes it was a mom and a little boy about 6 years old. Me thinks jordan and his mom stole it.

We don't have the serial numbers for the playstation so we can't prove it was ours but i think tony might file a report and he sent word among the neighborhood kids that he knows who took it and if he catches them they have to deal with HIM. He also talked to some of the parents to keep a look out for a thief

Project Runaway mission 1 complete

21:09 Jul 08 2008
Times Read: 799

I feel like i should be playing the mission impossible theme song as i write this.

Well i didn't listen all to well to the advice of take the break or do one project at a time.

( :P You know i am an overacheiver Linda it is useless to talk any kind of sense to me )

Anywho i finished one project and

DAMN I AM GOOD !!

I have a baby shower coming up in a few weeks and it is for my boyfriends baby sister, he asked me if i would make this diaper wreath for the shower and as one of the decorations . He told his family i make this thing and its really cool and pretty as a decoration and as a gift. So of course I said yes. I started it the other day and then i ran out of ribbon and it needed more Winnie the Pooh things to go with the theme. So after i found some motivation and a list of other things i needed from the store I got off my LAZY ASS and ran about collecting the few odds and ends i needed for a few projects and sat and finished the wreath.

I impressed myself, it looks really cute and i feel like i finally have something accomplished.

For curiosity sake here is a few pictures of the final result

I soo totally rock !

Now on to the next project.........

Project Runaway

16:02 Jul 08 2008
Times Read: 816

I spent the whole weekend at home depot trying to tackle some unfinished projects around the house. Sunday night I satexhausted and somewhat pleased at getting so much accomplished. Shelves were made and put up everything has a place and the place has a thing.

Minor details were left to be finished at a later date but by Monday i looked around and thought crap i need to finish that or wow now that that is done we need to do this that and the other thing.

One finished project is leading to many other should do sometime with a now added revelations of more trips to home depot.

Everytime i think i have things 90% finished a bigger picture of the outcome comes into view and i suddenly realize i am only at a 50% mark.

I am quickly losing my motivation and tallying up the little time i hae to get some of these things done. Common sense would be get the fuck off the computer woman work needs to be done but summer fuck it all sense is saying " it is all never ending anyway so why dont you just go swimming in the pool today "

I escaped !!!

14:42 Jul 07 2008
Times Read: 828

I got a phone call early last week from my cousin and her first words were " I got this new place at the shore do you wanna go "

In my former married life something like that would have been a problem, now it was a matter of " going to the beach see you in a few days "

My cousin is more like a sister and we don't get to just hang out as much as we would like. We try to get together as often as we can but during the school year it's maybe a once a month dinner together and a lot of promises to do it more often.

We packed up all 5 kids and hit the AC expressway with the kids excitedly chattering in the minivan.

We had such a good time i even considered and put a bid on a place a few spots down from hers. For the last few weeks her and her mother in law have been going down and attempting to build a fire and found it wasn't as easy as lighting wood with a match. I got to teach her how to get it started and keep it going and really impressed my son with my fire building skills.

We stayed up every night until 1 Am just laughing and telling stories beside the fire and realized how much we miss the time spent together. The kids had a blast and by the time we hit the road to come home we all had to admit we needed the time together more then the boardwalk amusements.
